Get answers to common questions about Traditional Peel 2.
Traditional Peel 2 is a medium-to-deep strength chemical peel designed for deeper exfoliation than superficial peels. It delivers more noticeable texture and tone improvement but involves longer downtime and requires professional application and pre/post care for safe results.
Expect 3–7 days of visible peeling and redness, with complete recovery up to two weeks depending on intensity and individual healing. We provide aftercare instructions and recommend avoiding sun exposure and harsh products during recovery.
Good candidates have sun damage, uneven texture, or mild scarring and are in overall good health. Not recommended for active infections, recent isotretinoin use, or certain skin conditions. A consultation and patch test ensure suitability.
Most clients see meaningful improvement after one treatment, but a series of 2–4 sessions spaced four to six weeks apart often yields optimal results for deeper texture issues and pigment concerns.
Prepping includes stopping exfoliants and retinoids as advised, using sunscreen daily, and following any prescribed priming regimen to minimize complications. We'll provide a tailored pre-treatment plan during consultation.
Aftercare includes gentle cleansing, intense hydration, strict sun protection, and avoiding picking or harsh products. We recommend healing ointments, cool compresses for discomfort, and follow-up visits to monitor progress and address concerns.
