Get answers to common questions about Microdermabrasion Facial.
Yes, Microdermabrasion Facial can be safe for sensitive or reactive skin when customized. Our estheticians assess skin first, use gentler settings, and recommend enzyme alternatives or patch tests to minimize irritation and ensure comfort.
Expect about 60 minutes at SkinHappy Skincare Studio, including consultation, deep cleansing, steam, microdermabrasion, mask, targeted serums, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Express options may be available for shorter maintenance visits.
Most clients benefit from a series of 4–6 treatments spaced two to four weeks apart to see noticeable texture and brightness improvements. Maintenance sessions every 4–8 weeks help sustain results, tailored to individual skin goals.
Microdermabrasion can improve superficial acne scars and light hyperpigmentation by smoothing texture and encouraging cell turnover. Deeper scars or stubborn pigment may require combined treatments like chemical peels or lasers, which we can recommend during consultation.
You may experience mild redness, sensitivity, or slight flaking for 24–48 hours after treatment. There’s minimal downtime—avoid heavy exercise, steam, and sun exposure immediately afterward and apply sunscreen diligently to protect renewed skin.
Avoid strong retinoids, glycolic acid, or waxing for 3–5 days before treatment. Afterward, use gentle cleansers, hydrating serums, moisturizer, and SPF. Avoid excessive heat, exfoliants, and harsh products for several days and follow your esthetician’s personalized instructions.
