Get answers to common questions about Holistic, Sensitive Skin Facial.
Yes, this facial is designed for reactive, rosacea-prone skin. We perform a thorough consultation and patch testing, selecting calming, non-irritating ingredients to reduce inflammation and avoid triggers. Results focus on immediate soothing and long-term barrier repair.
Appointments typically last 50-75 minutes, including consultation and aftercare instructions. The treatment prioritizes slow, gentle techniques and observation, so we allow extra time for skin assessments and patch testing when necessary.
We favor fragrance-free, non-comedogenic serums like aloe, chamomile, niacinamide, ceramides, and colloidal oatmeal. No harsh acids, irritant essential oils, or synthetic fragrances. Product choices are individualized after consultation and patch testing.
Most clients experience minimal to no irritation; some transient flushing or mild sensitivity can occur. We use cooling compresses and barrier-repair products, and provide clear aftercare to prevent peeling and support healing.
For maintenance and barrier building we recommend treatments every 3–6 weeks depending on severity. Initial series of three treatments spaced four weeks apart is common, then individualized maintenance and at-home regimen guidance.
Avoid shaving within 24 hours before your appointment when possible. Fresh razor irritation can increase sensitivity; if you must shave same-day, do a gentle shave and notify your esthetician so they can adjust techniques and products.
